On the Senate side, CARA is still bottled up in the Senate Energy and
Natural Resources Committee, thanks to SENATOR SLADE GORTON, SENATOR
CRAIG THOMAS and others who believe in private property rights and
multiple use of federal lands.
In the House, the CARA PORK BARREL LAND GRAB may come up for a vote the
week of May 15 or May 22. PLEASE write to your Member of Congress, even if
you have before. Say that CARA is an UNPRECEDENTED LAND GRAB and will
cost the federal treasury FORTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS, three billion per
year for fifteen years. That's MORE money to condemn private property, MORE
wilderness designations, and LESS chance of a tax cut or a reduction in the
estate tax, and LESS of the national debt paid off!

The environmental news network, a leftwing biased email site financed by
land trusts who want to run you off your property, has posted an email poll
on its site. As you can see below, it is a completely one-sided message
with no mention of LAND GRABS and PORK BARREL SPENDING.
