Evidence showed otherwise. Manson drove the killers to the LaBianca mansion, and
waited for them outside in
the car while they carried out his instructions inside...
And the mail he has written to his followers since he has been in prison demonstrates
that he is both
unrepetant and continues to exert inordinate control over their actions. Remember
Squeaky Fromme's attempt on
Ford's life? She was acting on instructions Manson sent her...and correspondence
between her and Manson since
then (she's in prison for life) show that he's still trying to get his followers to
commit crimes.

Manson is the consummate con artist, and he's obviously succeeded in conning you...

You can't lay it all on Bugliosi...Manson's own followers made the most outrageous
claims for Charlie's
activities...

It isn't because of his infamy, but due as I previously stated to the nature of what
he has written to
followers (both his old-time "commune" followers and his latter-day fans)...which
shows that he is both
unrepetant and still instructing his groupies to commit crimes...
