Did your opponent send you a GAM as well as a GMV file?

When I try to open (from within the CB Player) the game file he sent me (or the GenericGame), I get the message "The parameter is incorrect." I'm running CB 3.02 on Windows XP. I get the same thing for scenario file, gamebox file, or game file. Any help appreciated. Jay
