What if we made a new buildbot, and whenever anyone submitted a patch to the darcs-devel list, that buildbot would apply that patch against the current trunk, run all the tests, and then obliterate that patch.
I think that would be very cool. The custom would be that if the patch caused any tests to go from green to red, then everyone assumes that the author of the patch is responsible for either fixing it or giving up on it, and if the patch does not cause any tests to go from green to red, then the author can assume that someone else will go ahead and review it.
