When you port to Gtk3, just make sure to not use any of the X11 gtk stuff
directly to make sure it will work with Wayland. Also, it would be nice to
use the Gnome-shell application menu to provide access to things like
preferences, import, change views and things like that. Note that I do not
suggest to remove this from the normal gui but provide additional ways to
access it if the gnome-shell menu is available (
