I made screenshots of the settings. In unchanged_settings you will find
default settings, which I didn't change.

I did 6 scans, which created different files.
series 1-3 has the same input setting and are color scans, 4-6 are black
& white scans.

series 1 and 4 contain dng-files which are loaded, metadata are shown,
but the image is black. All tif files, uncompressed, compressed and and
raw-tiff are displayed with darktable 1:1.2-0pmjdebruijn1~precise

The scans of the photo in
test_with_vuescan_md5_7f0faa1be07b94992f55cd17b4b45da5.zip was taken by
me and you can use it, redistribute it, or whatever you want to do, to
improve darktable.
