If the ICC is a cLUT, you may experience the same issue like me in
<http://www.darktable.org/redmine/issues/9510>.  This bug made
(incorrectly) saturated blue colours brighter for me.  How big is
the ICC file?

Also, the white balance is different for your "enhanced CM" and
"ICC" images.  For a decent comparison, this should be made equal.

And then, DT corrects deep blues (for a reason that I've never
really understood) after the colour matrix/ICC profile.

A lot of uncertainties, I know, but this input colour thing simply
is difficult to measure exactly, and there is a lot of snake oil and
false information on the Web.

It would be nice if you could upload this ICC file and the RAW
somewhere.

As for the base curve, I experiment with a totally-out-of-focus
image of a black/white object (i.e., no saturated colours) with a
lot of dynamic range.  This way, I may be able to reconstruct the
base curve of the camera's manufacturer.  But I haven't yet come to
a conclusion here.
