experimental 2.1 doesn't compile.
It does if you run autoreconf -f -i in the root of your source tree.
I tried and it still doesn't compile; it seems that it can't find gmime/gmime.h.
2.0 compiles all right.
If you haven't already, go to
http://spruce.sourceforge.net/gmime/
and install gmime-2
If you did already do this:
what os/distro do you run?
where is gmime.h on your system?
what output is generated by:
#> pkg-config --cflags gmime-2.0
