Hi everybody!
I tried this now for a few times... I Installed dbmail the first time
and everything worked perfectly...
Because i'm using gentoo I tried to make an ebuild. So i deleted
everything from my system ( including the database tables etc... ) and
installed it with my own ebuild, which worked perfectly...
The database-tables are not part of the dbmail installation at all. They
are, if anything, part of the mysql or postgres installation. So there
should never be any need to drop those tables between dbmail
installations, change perhaps, when you're upgrading from a pre-1.0
installation, but never delete/reload.
Then when I sent a mail to my test account and tailed the mysql log I
saw following:
030803 0:59:32 222 Connect [EMAIL PROTECTED] as anonymous on
222 Query SELECT deliver_to FROM aliases WHERE
alias="@cola"
222 Query SELECT deliver_to FROM aliases WHERE
alias="@cola"
Did 'dbmail-adduser s' work ?
then it stops... So it does not insert the messageblk into the tables...
:(
I uninstalled it again and reinstalled it with build.sh and
install-dbmail.sh and the same problem occured...
So I deinstalled it for the third time, rebooted my test computer,
Reboot ? One never has to reboot a linux system to facilitate a software
installation, bar kernel-upgrades.
reinstalled it the dbmail-way and it worked again...
What my cause this kind of problem? Is it installing something somewhere
I don't see?
/etc/ld.so.conf is the only think I can think of. Did your different
builds link with different libs ?
Actually it should work when dbmail.conf is in /etc and the mails a
redirected to for example /usr/src/dbmail-1.1/dbmail-smtp, shouldn't it?
Only if you dbmail build is compiled with dbmail.conf's location in
/etc/ and your /etc/postfix/master.cf points to /usr/src/dbmail-1.1/
I hope someone has the same problem and solved it... ;)
Best Regards
