hmhm... verry strange 0_o

what i did:

i followed Pauls instructions and viewed the syslog after i linked the
dbmail-binaries against mysql 4.0.13 (like i did the first time i
installed it)
but not with

./build.sh
./instal-dbmail.sh

but with

./configure --with-mysql --with-ssl
make
cp dbmail-smtp /usr/local/sbin/dbmail-smtp
chmod 755 /usr/local/sbin/dbmail-smtp

i did
cat testmessage.txt | /usr/local/sbin/dbmail-smtp -u darookee
viewed /var/log/syslog and /var/log/mysql/mysql.log and was surprised: it
worked 0_o
i copied the dbmail-imapd to /usr/local/sbin, started it and viewed the
mails...
than i injected the mails via qmail-inject
cat testmessage.txt | /var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject
and it worked, too 0_o

after that i rebuilt the binaries with ./build.sh and ./instal-dbmail.sh
, did the tests i did before... and they worked...

very strange for me...
so i deleted dbmail from the system (including /etc/dbmail.conf after i
backed it up), did the gentoo-way-install and copied the backed-up
dbmail.conf back to etc, did the test... and saw the error: dbmail
couldn't access /etc/dbmail.conf... 0_o
stupid me... :'(
sorry for the inconveniences :( i should have checked syslog earlier 0_o
thx everybody :D
