what about releasing binary distributions too (not only source). guess a lot more ppl would use dbmail then. ;)

I started out working on dbmail as the debian package maintainer so I do understand what you are saying. Debian packages are and have been provided consistently over the last year and a half. For 1.2, 2.0 and now for 2.1.

I don't use rpm packages myself at all. Someone else will have to provide them. Someone who has the need. Someone like yourself, perhaps? We can link to them from the website, or we can upload them to www.dbmail.org.

sounds interesting. but i could them only serve for fedora core1. u need more ppl for core2 and 3 maybe even (the lord may forgive me) for suse. but this approach would increase the acceptance of dbmail at sum hosters who depend on unattended updates... :)

best regards

Simon
