Please do not put words in my mouth.
I do not agree that the scripts that are shipped by the powersaved
patckage are configuration files, which must be editable and thus must
be placed in /etc.

Wrong on your side, pm-utils ships the script files under
/usr/lib/pm-utils/, it provides a means though, to extend/override that
that via files in /etc.

That is a feature that is debatable and possibly makes sense, but
certainly not that the default scripts that are shipped in powersaved
will be moved to /etc. That is not going to happen.

That would be a new feature, thus severity wishlist. Feel free to submit
a patch.
