Diederik de Haas dixit: >You need the 'debtags' package for that command to work though.
And aptitude, which is among the first things I purge… >So, I'm rather interested in ways ppl have managed to upgrade to KDE 4.10. Well, what I did was first to install the metapackages, then run dpkg-query -W | fgrep 4:4.8 | while read a b; do echo $a; done >x then apt-get --purge install -t experimental $(<x) then apt-mark markauto $(<x) which mostly worked, pending other metapackages. I’ll probably need to pull in the one or other new package, like the printer config (I’ve *not* yet figured out how to actually start it; that being said, I run IceWM on the work desktop and only kontact (as we use Kolab) and Konqueror (because it’s about 10 times as fast as M*zilla crap)). Diane Trout dixit: >To do the test, I used akonadiconsole to take the akonadi nepomuk feeder >component offline. I seem to recall a recent upload that disabled that component anyway. In my current setup (still waiting for the groupware components, but mail and xkcd feeds work) the feeder component is disabled, and stuff still works. My system also says that Nepomuk is “not operational”, but installing virtuoso-minimal made the message that “the Soprano Virtuoso plugin is required” (or the virtuoso soprano plugin, don’t remember), which prevented kontact from starting at all, go away. bye, //mirabilos -- Sorry, I’m annoyed today and you came by as an Arch user.
