I would like to upload Libav 9 to unstable at your earliest
convinience. To get an overview about the size and impact of the
transition, I would like to drag your attention to the Ubuntu
transition tracker page here:
http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/transitions/libav.html
A number of packages are involved in both libav and libx264
transitions.
Do you want to do both of them at the same time, or serialized?
Since libx264 is largely subsumed by libav, I think it makes very much
sense to do them both at the same time. I am convinced that we will have
less effort this way.
Cheers,
Reinhard
