First, you don't have to redone all three process! Mainly, if you're sure 
about the directories, the first can be slip away. The second are just 
for updating (package in stable don't change that mush! as for bo too, 
it's less than one time a day and just for a couple of packages!).

But I really like the suggestion about a Abort, Retry, Fail... Better
to do a:
n<CR>n<CR><CR>4<CR>
(respectively for not installing the *inexistant* fetched package, not 
removing the installed package, not removing the debian tree and reselect 
teh install option.)
