Hey, don't be so negative about maintainers! I for one will probably sign on to any novice/install list, although I have to admit I don't usually know answers to install problems. I think quite a few maintainers will sign up to novice/install mailinglists. Also, as debian really is a volunteer efford, I forsee that a novice today, who possibly was helped very much by answers to his questions on debian-{novice,install}, would stay subscribed longer to debian-{novice,install}, to be able to "pay back" the support he got. At least that's how I see it. > What we end up with is that people will post their questions > to both (-user and -install) lists thus only increasing traffic. What I will end up with is a procmail script that removes any double-posted questions, thus making sure I don't see any question sent to me by arrogant users. -- joost witteveen, [EMAIL PROTECTED] #!/usr/bin/perl -sp0777i<X+d*lMLa^*lN%0]dsXx++lMlN/dsM0<j]dsj $/=unpack('H*',$_);$_=`echo 16dio\U$k"SK$/SM$n\EsN0p[lN*1 lK[d2%Sa2/d0$^Ixp"|dc`;s/\W//g;$_=pack('H*',/((..)*)$/) #what's this? see http://www.dcs.ex.ac.uk/~aba/rsa/ -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
