To give you a perspective:

Lots of people run mission critical stuff over NFS and have done
so for years. Companies like Netapp make US$ 500,000 boxes that
are NFS servers.

Yet you're worried that at the slightest blip NFS will corrupt
your files? Well, not very likely I'd say
