Well if Delphi is dead, I do not know what to use then.
C/C++ is too slow to develop (although is some cases the only choice).
The rest is rabbish for me.
I have supermarkets running on my software, pumping thousands of people
through.
It just cannot stop working - end of story.
We even do not use Windows Explorer shell in latest version, to stay futher
away from troubles.
There are other areas of business like this : medicine, traffic
control,manufacturing,airplains,military.
Some cannot stop working, some often cannot go back and fix things manually,
if something went wrong.
Others can, even banks, that is why they play games with java, asp, jade etc.
Countrywide even used MS Access database at some stage I believe.
People like me, working for tough environments, where toys cannot be used,
are deeply frustrated. We have selected a tool which works, and it is under
constant danger to disappear, because world has forgotten than Office
productivity tools and Internet is not everything.
