I agree with this personally, because I find darker backgrounds good for 
working on a background. But I don't think we should override the user's theme 
if at all possible (also, LibreOffice's Windows and Mac versions should also be 
remembered! It is used widely outside of Linux, too!). 

Rather, I think we should look at redesigning the options dialogue, where it's 
not really clear how to change the application's color scheme. To my memory, 
it's currently under Appearance, then you scroll around-- with no live 
preview!-- looking for which color to change in a long, long list.

Not hard if you're used to it, but annoying for a first time user. Or maybe we 
can include some color "presets" that are easy to choose from?
