Already possible: Tools → Options → LibreOffice → Appearance → change "Application background" from "Default" to your preferred colour. That's not completely true. I'm a KDE user and LibO 3.4.1 follows quite well my desktop colour and widget theme ;) LibO is not a gtk app but a vcl app with gkt and qt "plugins".
