I believe that Travis has the cycles to help with turning the link on and off, so he can help with this. Can this be the final, definitive resolution on this issue please?

Okay, so it sounds like a single checkbox that turns on and off the link to the Account Browser in the top menu of the Web UI. I'm just considering this work as part of bug 7400, "Settings UI."

This was next on my plate to implement -- but Travis, if you have some free cycles, give me a shout and let's see if you can just knock this out.

Sure. The checkbox proposal sounds fine. Matthew/Travis, you two figure out about who is going to write the code and please make sure to follow up with Ted. Thanks, -Priscilla

Server side preference work is 99% done, so I imagine this will be possible.

Matthew, is the "link display" portion of this functionality already wrapped into your bug(s)? If not, and if you're pressed for time, I'd be happy to write this code.
