Thanks! Both of these suggestions are quite helpful. The "Window
List" is not too helpful since there is a limit imposed on how wide a
pane can be so only about 12 characters are displayed. The Window
Selector is nice since it takes very little space and displays lots of
text.

Another problem that I am facing is that when I create a launcher, the
text associated with the launcher only appears when the launcher is an
icon on the desktop. When a launcher is in a pane or a drawer, the
text is not displayed. Is there a way around this problem?

In CDE's window manager (and all previous window managers I have used)
it is very easy to create "lanuchers" via single line entries in a
menu definition file. There are many specific commands (e.g. start
xterm on host X) that I need to migrate to launchers. In order to
make this feasable, the launcher icon needs to be displayed with text.

Thanks,

Bob
