I am using metacity (gnome) and have the same problem with Nvidia
TwinView in opensolaris snv_111 (working well in snv_110).

The login screen and every window gets centered between both monitors;
and maximizing a window spans both monitors.

Sun Ultra 24, Nvidia Quadro FX 370
