Sun is the company that makes the "net work", but you can not change an OpenSolaris project name? I can understand that perhaps our project is the first one with an interest in changing its name, so the infrastructure may not be in place today. However, can't we file a bug or raise the issue with the right people and see if we can get this issue addressed. It seems it should be possible to rename a project without going through the bother of canceling and starting a new one. > Mailing list names and CBE variable names can change over time, > but it would be a big inconvenience to change all that right now. Since we have determined that "Trusted JDS" is actually not a product name, can we change it to something more generic on our public web pages? > Also, I added a paragraph to the main project page saying that any > reference to JDS can be taken to mean OpenSolaris Desktop, which should > at least help explain any un-migrated names. Yes, I noticed that. That seems reasonable until we finish addressing the remaining issues. Brian
