Hi Marion, I tried on a Solaris 10 box, but didn't reproduce the problem. I don't have evince installed on the box, instead I set the preferred viewer to some test script. Then I saw the test script is executed .
Does the problem on your box only exists for pdf viewer, or also for other application preferences?
