The domain name does end up back at NetSol after about a week, where we can
renew it.

Sorry to bring this subject up here, didn't know it had been discussed
already.

So who does the registry list as the registrar (assuming they have updated
their whois database after all of this happened)?

I suspect OpenSRS is the registrar, but the registry confirmation was
never received or has not yet been received.  I have seen this happen
several times over the past 18 months.

Bring the issue up with OpenSRS support.
