I hope everyone had great holidays and I wish you all the best for 2002.
I am having problems with nameservers that I had registered with NetSol.
I've decided that the easiest solution would be to create new nameservers
with tucows/opensrs. I assumed that I should be able to create a new
nameserver with an IP that I haven't registered as a nameserver. I
just tried and go the following error:
Error Page
Unable to create nameserver: Registry error, nameserver creation failed
[Attribute value not unique]
This was with a new domain guey.net that I recently registered through
opensrs. The nameserver that I tried to register was casa-205.guey.net
and the ip is 64.173.182.158. I also tried casa-204.guey.net with an ip
of 64.173.182.155 with the same results.
I have no idea what "attribute value not unique" could be. I can only
think that it might mean that guey.net is a registered name server which
it isn't or that one of the ip's is but as far as I can remember they
aren't.
Thanks for your help,
ed
P.S. Is there no way to get rid of Network Solutions, once you have transfered
the domain? I have wasted more time with them. What a pain they are.
