There was no 'directive'.  There was an opinion expressed by one member
of the board - and as far as I understand the Apache Board hasn't rolled
over and died just yet.

I would be interesting in seeing this together with the endorsement of
the report by the PMC members.

I do hope that this is not a case of people simply ignoring your point
of view, however, I haven't seen any indications of support for your
recent posts from either the development or user communities.  More
importantly - there are hundreds of users of the Avalon platform and
those hundreds of users are not going to disappear just like that.  You
and the Board may choose to ignore the user community - but please note
that this would not be a position that I would endorse.  

Migration will take time and effort and I expect the ASF to act
responsibly in this matter and do everything they can to support our
users.
