Let's try and get Avatica out first as it's been more than 8 months
since the last release and I think we are very close with getting most
of the PRs in. Another benefit is that Calcite can upgrade to the latest
version of Avatica for release 1.39.0

Hi all,
It's been almost three months since our last release (15 Oct 2024) and
there are about 135 new commits in main. I think it is a good time to
start the discussion for 1.39.0.
From the existing tickets tagged for 1.39.0 [1], I don't see release
blockers. Are there any other must have items that we want to include
in the release?
There is a parallel thread about an Avatica release so I guess one of
the main questions is how we should proceed in terms of timing. Do we
want to focus on Avatica first or advance both in parallel?
