Hi Its been 1 month since Camel 2.8.0 was released. And we have a 2.8 branch where we have merged bug fixes.
I suggest that we consider doing a 2.8.1 release in the near term, for example in about 1 - 2 weeks. Apache ActiveMQ 5.6.0 is upgrading to Apache Camel 2.8.x. And as we have a bug fixed in 2.8.1, I would love that AMQ could upgrade and use 2.8.1 instead of 2.8.0. Likewise SMX 4.4 is to be released with Camel 2.8.0. And I guess it would be great if SMX included 2.8.1. There is not so often a new SMX release so it would be good if we included an as most bug free version of 2.8 which would be 2.8.1 release.
