If base as target handles importing (appending) data from arbitrary
sources that makes more sense indeed. And it can be done at one central
spot.

I'm in preparation of writing it. There seems to be an off-by-one error
somewhere in the pasting code, the first line is missing when copying
from writer and from calc (tested with V2.2.0).

And more, when copying from writer there really is a space added in
front of the first value (which in most cases is the primary key), as
Barbara reported.

Maybe someone reading this thread can test on the current release to
make sure the bugs are still there?
