It might be good to remind ourselves that Sun signed a least one agreement with Microsoft relating to the use of IP rights and a pact of non-agression. This probably means that we are unlikely to have an official "legal" Sun view on this matter. In fact, I've never had any point of view passed onto me from Sun Legal despite several questions in the past. That is not to say that the OOo devs and project managers have not expressed an opinion.
After all, anything possibly created by the Community using Windows screenshots that goes into the StarOffice product is covered by the agreement with MS. The real question is : what is the impact for OOo as a community ? and what are the risks ?
