I asked because, like you, I think DicOOo is dead simple. So finding the
how-to use was a surprize and I want to understand the idea behind it.
WHat I also noticed was that all the graphics were from Windows and this
further piqued my curiosity.
The Windows screenshots are just because I'm (still) using that OS as my main
environment. I'm slowly going to some Linux flavour (probably Ubuntu) which is
only in a VM currently... until it is promoted. I suppose 2007 is the year :-)
Vista made me think.
Now that you have offered this explanation,
I am wondering if there is a need for some sort of usage instruction in
the on-line help. I have cc'd the on-line help list for comment and set
the reply-to to this list.
What some people are wondering about the wizard is whether they should use the
in-line or off-line install, whether their proxy will interfere, or if they
need some special firewall settings.
I myself find the manual install (editing the dictionary.lst file) to be not
as much a chore as one might guess. But people want automated tools, nowadays
<sigh>.
