Actually, the sooner the better, since 2.1.3 should be focused on getting security fixes out ASAP.

Cool! We could wait till next week to spin a release if you're expecting more JIRAs to fix in the next few days....

Target is Sept. 15 for the Geronimo 2.1.3 release...
Ok, I'll start the release process. I should be able to get this out for a vote by end of day tomorrow.

OK, opened GERONIMO-4272 to upgrade 2.1 and 2.2 to the latest 1.6-SNAPSHOT code, published an updated Javamail Spec and Javamail snapshots.

When can you start cutting the Javamail release?
I guess the real question is how soon do we need a new release version? I would hate to do this too soon only to have a new problem found right after we've created a new release. It would be better to hold off on this until we've got a clear target release date for a Geronimo release that will include the new version.

Time to start the discussion on winding down changes and preparing for a Geronimo 2.1.3 release.

Server fixes/enhancements are listed on the Release Status page -

Details on included security fixes in dependent components are listed on the Security page -

The only additional changes that I know of right now for 2.1.3 are Joe's "compatibility plugins/artifact alias" changes.

Does anyone have additional fixes they would like to include in 2.1.3 before we cut the branch and start the release process?
There was a recent flurry of javamail fixes we might want to consider picking up.
