I have done a simple setup for how it might look like on
http://internetallee.de/~felix/jmeter/index.html
The links at the bottom are not valid, they will probably have
to
be
constructed using javascript.
I have uploaded a new version,
I'm not sure that the "Contact:" word need to be add, and not
sure
too
that the "Mail" button is needed (isn't a "email", but a link to
mailing-list page)
I thinks that will be better if we remove Contact: and Mail
button.
Have done it. We could probably add a github link there.
Updated my test page to contain a github link, but I am not sure,
whether I
like it, so will not commit it.
That's great.
I think we can now delete the social hub menu section.
BTW, the Apachecon icon top right seems to be truncated on the right.
Could not work out what the problem is - any ideas?
The ad is inside an iframe. We can't control the css/style of the
elements inside that iframe.
That's not strictly true; if necessary the html for the contents could
be adjusted.
However this would have to be done in a way that did not affect other
users.
Well, at least I haven't found a way to influence the style of any element
inside an iframe from the outside - which is the jmeter page. If you know of
such a way, please let me know.
If you mean that 'we' as the asf can influence the iframe by changing the ad,
than that is of course possible.
Yes, the ad is here
http://www.apache.org/ads/bannerbar.html
This is under the control of the ASF.
I have setup a comparison for you under
http://internetallee.de/~felix/ads-test/index.html
On that page the ad is inserted twice. In the first one I have modified
it, so that all margins and padding is removed for every element. The
second one is the same as the original one with default margin, padding
and style on the img element.
They are embedded in an div, which has a border to better show the -
well - border.
The divs are 234x60px (as is the image in the ad). You can see, that the
first one fits exactly, while the second one is too big for the div.
Regards,
Felix
If you have suggestions for that, please advise.
For the latter case, I would think of would be good to remove any padding and
margins from all the elements inside the iframe.
Felix
Those elements get the default values from the used browser, which
means, that the have a few paddings or margins. Therfore the ad is a
bit larger than the image it shows.
I have given the iframe a bit more space now and it seems to be
better.
Thanks.

where the links are filled in properly. I will probably commit
the
stuff
later, if noone objects.
I removed the twitter button in the navigation, as its
functionality has
moved to top of the content div.

Felix>The badges for github
I think just one github icon is enough, and "number of forks,
number
of stars" might be just dropped.
The question remains, where that badge should be placed.
