There is no problem in offering fabric as an easy to install choice for users. But a product that is driven by one company should not be a default strategic dependency for an apache project. Talend of course also has their own open source products that are not community driven. I would oppose against using them by default in apache projects in the same way.

Of course I fully acknowledge that a company should carefully decide which projects to have driven by the community as there is also much risk in this for a company.

is this is answer to my statement ?? I also think choice is good - I'm just
saying that we shouldn't fall into the trap of re-inventing everything because
its not apache. If talend wants to donate stuff to apache - awesome! - its all
good!
