@Achim: package commands do use SCR (are you looking at the karat-light branch?). @Andreas: The github fork serves just experimentation purposes. This idea could be hardly presented as a patch or a pull request (so it needed its own branch). @Guillaume: I wouldn't want this idea to be yet an other reason to stall 3.0. If the features justify it a quick new major release sounds ok to me. Of course rebasing to the current trunk (3.0) is something that needs to happen anyway. So the real question is "can that rebase happen before we release 3.0?". If so, everything is ok. If not, then I guess we will have to bear the burden of maintaining 2.3, 3.x & 4.x for a while. If 3.0 is something that is going to happen next week or the week after I could do some late nights to rebase to 3.0 (helping hands are more than welcome).
