That is one real ugly list (no offence). I suggest to:
indeed it doesn't look good at all...
1) add proper headings for each group (e.g. <h3 id="a">A</h3>
2) use <ul> element for the list.
3) drop the Next link, leave only Top.
The result would look like:

Thank you for the feedback, if you can send a mock-up of how you
exactly suggest the page should look link that would help. My
suggestion would be to use the same stly as the thank you page:
http://update.services.openoffice.org/ooo/index.html With the banner
at the top.
That page doesn't contain the immence amount of names, it's totally
different.
What I suggest is something like this list:
http://www.pokernews.com/pokerterms/
Alternatively, a tabbed list could be introduced, like in
http://www.pokernews.com/poker-players/A/ (which isn't really tabbed
because the page reloads, but you can grasp the idea).
It seems someone has fixed that list already, and it already looks
better than it was, by the way. ;) Except a few encoding problems...
