No, our plan is to continue doing what we already do: ship
openoffice.org-voikko as an extension that provides spell checker and
hyphenator (+ hopefully grammar checker in the future) for Finnish.
I looked at the inflections file you mentioned - it looks as if it had
some grammar category information already in. If this is the fact, it
could be probably easily converted (if the list is exhaustive) to a
dictionary useful for LanguageTool (www.languagetool.org), and you could
write quite complicated rules using this data for Finnish. You can write
them without any dictionaries, as well, to be exact, but in heavily
inflected languages that requires a lot of regular expression magic ;)
So if you'd need any help with grammar checking infrastructure, just
drop me an email, and we'll see if LT could meet your needs.
