Hi Patrick,

I am using the latest "source ./tizen-common-init-build-env" command to build 
the core minimal image. 
Using the mkefidisk.sh script in the yocto project to create the bootable 
u-disk. The host OS is Ubuntu 14.04

Which instructions are you following here?

> cp -a 1/var/* /tmp/
> 
> cp: ‘1/var/volatile/log’: Invalid argument

"strace cp -a 1/var/* /tmp/" should provide more information about which system 
call fails here.

What is your host OS?
