Another thing I would like to see fixed is the snapshot apache repository. Nighlty builds are still deployed using a unique version identifier. This feature doesn't work and this is why a lot of people have trouble when it's come to snapshot dependencies. It should be written very big somewhere on the web site because it was THE major source of bugs in my case and from what I have seen on the users list, I am not the only one. At the moment, I think it is one of the major pain of using Maven. It took me more than a day to figure out why those snapshot dependencies weren't downloaded (my internal repository was set up the same way). I found out the solution in the users mailing list but a lot of people would have given up before I did if tehy were just trying out Maven to see how it compares to Ant.
