I also feel it is a bit too early. Java 8 is still common in production - for example this suggests 64% Java 8, 25% Java 11: https://snyk.io/blog/developers-dont-want-to-leave-java-8-as-64-hold-firm-on-their-preferred-release/ (i know this is not necessarily a representative survey)
For people working in commercial environments, is it usual for everything to be using the same JVM, or for example can developers use whatever they want, as long as they target a specific version for the production servers? If everything has to be the same, this could limit uptake of a Java 11 only NB.
