I think that we may have notable improvements to the user experience of the VS Code compared to 12.2, so it might be nice to deliver that to the users sooner if we can. And the feedback from users using the (updated) extension could also help improve 12.3. If there would be some patches that we would like to deliver via the AUC to the NetBeans IDE, I would certainly consider them for inclusion as well. It has an added benefit that if something would be broken in this small release, we could fix it in 12.3, and that would improve both 12.3 and the VS Code extension.
