looks to me that overall the group is fine ...

OK, we'll prepare it. Guidance from experienced release managers is welcomed. 
Tentative schedule:

Jan 4 - publish the beta
Jan 11 - start voting
Jan 17 - release the sources and `.vsix` complementary binary

That's actually true. We'll work on aligning our internal schedule to follow 
the Apache NetBeans quarterly releases. I wish the next `.vsix` releases (in 
February and so on) shall be part of regular NetBeans release cycle.

Anyway, thanks for allowing us to deliver this exceptional update in January. 
VSNetBeans is so young and rapidly improving it make sense more sense than in 
case of NetBeans to release early and often.
