All sounds exciting! While discussing SVG features, a bigger one than animation might be CSS? Or at least, at this stage, could we ensure icons have classes for a small range of accent colours? Obviously, certain things like "stop" you might want always to be red. Whereas other accent colours might be better to pick up from the look and feel. And it would be great to never have to rely on the _dark suffix for svg icons. Obviously there's a need to look at changes in the icon loading to allow specifying the right stylesheet via Batik too.
