Hi, Just to make it clear: the freezing (the comment can be seen here <https://github.com/espressif/esp-hal-3rdparty/pull/15#issuecomment-5874233033>) is technically necessary to ease the transition. We've also stopped automatic sync so it doesn't create conflicts with existing versions. So, it isn't for the bad, but for the good of the community.
We hope the transition can come fast. We've been discussing the best options for that.
