There seems to be quite a bit of interest in keeping it. Which of those who
feels it is important to keep the domain will work with ASF infra to get it
transferred?

AFAIK there are two parts to this:

1. transfer the domain name to whatever registrar the ASF prefers
2. set up DNS entries for whatever DNs are desired

For part #1, just let me know when to turn off the domain lock and I'll do it
so that the registrar can be changed (it's with register.com right now). For #2
I'm not sure what the full list of DNS settings looks like as that has been
handled by contegix for a while, so I guess whoever takes this on will need to
research that and then send the details to the ASF to get it setup.
