I understand that desc is the mostly used option. But with this patch, asc will 
always return actions from 1 to len(when start is not specified), and the 
initial ones will not be there because of purging. Instead, should this return 
the first len actions available in DB? (can be achieved by not adding id clause 
when start is not specified)
