Here's more detail: Issue 126130 seems to be all about the problem of having Java 8 (or intentionally upgrading to Java 8) on MacOS and having attempt used of the JVM from AOO lead to a fault somewhere. This could be some sort of configuration handshake in the startup of the JVM, yet it seems more complicated than that. Issue 115200 began back in the days of OOo 3.2.1 and discussion started and ended in 2010, evidently with a happy outcome for some. Mac OSX then too.
