FWIW, I agree 100% with the decision to remove the "auto" option. 99.9%
of the time it should be "on", and "off" is a loaded gun in the hands of
a newbie. I shot myself with it the other day because I turned it off
and then forgot to turn it on again.
I really only wanted to raise a flag and see if something could be done
for 2.4 so people who need this don't lose the function. If the product
stops working, they will find something that does work and likely not
look back.
